NOMAS COMPETITION Projects
Since 2019, UBC NOMAS has attended annual NOMA conferences as competing student teams in the Barbara G. Laurie Student Design Competitions. From Kansas City, MO, to Nashville, our teams have reckoned with urban challenges that plague our cities today, creating innovative solutions to improve social equity and accessibility.

What does UBC NOMAS do?
UBC NOMAS is a student-run organisation dedicated to connecting design students in the School of Landscape Architecture & Urbanism with organisations and industry professionals across the City of Vancouver, promoting diversity, equity, and accessibility through our initiatives.
Founded as the First NOMAS Chapter in Canada in 2019, we have continued to support our students through events and lecture series highlighting diverse design communities, as well as workshops and design exercises focused on improving the public realm.
